Tetrapolis uses photography, movement, and performance to capture grief, healing, and ritual while utilizing what is available on the land in Kefalonia, Greece. This work stems from the exploration of grief ritual as a healing modality and is strengthened by the knowledge of plants, earth, and herbs in a foreign place. The land always provides what spirit needs.

Working with herbalists on the island provides a great resource in identifying the spiritual uses of plants and building new ritual on the land. This interrelation of healing modalities and very distinct cultures serves as a spirit language that is put on display as ritual. When a viewer witnesses a grief ritual, the healing is multiplied by the number of people who bear witness to the work.
